Make a U disk bootable installation disk

1. Download the system installation package. After downloading, it will be displayed as a folder "Install macOS Sierra.app" on the window.

2. Copy the downloaded installation package to the computer of the Mac system and put it in the " Applications "

3. On the Mac system, insert an empty U disk (at least 8G), open " Disk Utility ", find the U disk and format it

4. Select the U disk on the left, Erase on the right, select GUID Partition Table, MacOSX Extended (Journaled), Partition Name OS

5. After formatting, enter the following command to make

sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/OS --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app --nointeraction

 Note: There is no line break in the actual command, here is just for the format to look good

6. Wait for the command execution to complete

 

U disk installation

1. Insert the U disk, restart the system, press and hold Alt to create

2. After startup, select the icon of the U disk to start

3. There are 4 options after startup, select the fourth Disk Utility to manage the disk,

You can format the original disk and install a clean system

4. After the format is completed, go back to the previous page and select the second item to start installing the system

5. Start the installation after a long wait

6. After a long wait, the installation is complete
