VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) is called “Virtual Local Area Network” in Chinese. It is a technology used to divide broadcast domains on Layer 2 switches. The local area network is divided into several small virtual subnets, so that each subnet becomes an independent broadcast domain. A VLAN is a group of logical devices and users. These devices and users are not restricted by physical locations. Hosts in the same VLAN can be on multiple switches. Hosts in the same VLAN can communicate directly, but hosts between VLANs cannot communicate directly, thus limiting broadcast packets to one VLAN.

Features of VLAN:
Grouping based on logic, not limited by physical location.
In the same VLAN and the same as the real LAN.

1. First, on the Cisco simulator, create two new switches and configure the switch VLAN settings:
