VLAN Overview
VLAN (Virtual LAN) is a logical segment of the network layer of the second user is connected to the switch port, the physical location of the user from the network segment network restrictions according to user needs. VLAN Configuration Lab
Before the experiment began to GNS3 we first pulled into the operating area of a swap area, three PC.
Next we need to configure the switch.
First, we give a switch storage capacity, but we must remember to configure before turning, after formatting or will spent a lot of time.
Because it is to configure the switch so we have to configure a layer board.
Switch hardware configuration is complete, we will be able to plan the IP address of the PC and VLAN division, the planning result as shown below.
Now we also need to do some configuration on the excuse of each device, we first enter the operating mode switch, then switch on the storage capacity we set for viewing, then routing function of the switch is turned off.
Then we want to set up a vlan, here we give a name vlan10 and 20.
After setting each step to remember to see if the setting is successful.
The next step is to set the interface vlan10 vlan20 and connected, we set the switch interface f1 / 0 to vlan10, f1 / 1 and f1 / 2 interfaces to vlan20. Of course I remember setting up the view.
Switch configuration is complete, you need to configure the PC, first we give the PC configuration of three, but three different IP addresses in the same segment.
The following experiments can be performed to verify the results. The results proved different vlan timely same network segment is not the same, only the same vlan can communicate.
