All misunderstandings are slag slag Hui~~!

In the past few years as a CDN operation, we have had an uncomfortable experience! Originally, the relationship between CDN operators and customers is the relationship between the service and the serviced by both parties, and facing end users, they are comrades in the trenches. There is a need for close cooperation and seamless cooperation between the two sides. However, in reality, because of their different positions, misunderstandings are inevitable, and all misunderstandings are slag slag~!

Recently, the editor and my partners supported an overseas project. During the test, it was found that there was an abnormality when the video stream was playing~! So we tried our best to conduct various tests and used various knives, axes, and pliers. We found that the outflow from the origin site was normal, and the CDN distribution was normal. But it is very strange, when the live stream is decoded, there will be some abnormal stripes, similar to the following situation.

The left side is the normal situation, while the picture on the right side has been completed.

At first, we thought that the path of injecting the encoder from the video stream, and then transcoding it to the HLS server, may be too saturated with UDP packets, which is the buffer overflow. However, the fact is that the same video stream is different in different player environments. The left side of the above figure is the VCL player, and the right side is the Chrome video plug-in playback. This is most likely caused by an incompatible video plugin.

So we excitedly ran to tell the customer, the customer said coldly, why did you do this test? This test of yours is meaningless. This business is played on mobile phones. What is the use of playing it on the PC? !

Uh~! Well, we just want to warn about the problem. In this case, we can only say that we are sponsored by friendship. If you don't like it, don't spray it~!

However, this situation is indeed beyond the scope of Xiaobian's knowledge. If there are experts in the group, can you give me some pointers, why is there such an incompatibility?
