I have a few colleagues who went to Israel

This past May Day, a few of my colleagues went to Israel.

On April 29, Jack Ma led 35 Ali students to fly to Israel to exchange and study with a number of technology companies. This time, his identity is the teacher of Alibaba's executive training "Fengqingyang Class".

Israel is a very magical country. It only accounts for 0.2% of the world's population, and has won 20% of the Nobel Prizes. Science and technology contributes over 90% of GDP.

Exploring the source of technological innovation in Israel and providing reference for Ali to focus on technology research and development is probably the purpose of the Ali team's visit.

A colleague whispered to me that during the May 1st period, the study pressure was not small. During the day, I communicated and learned with technology companies, and held a meeting in the evening to summarize. The discussions often went into the middle of the night. Teacher Ma's request is: "We come with questions, and I hope everyone will go back with answers."

They went to JVP (Jerusalem Venture Partners), Israel's largest venture capital fund, and Mobileye, a well-known chip company acquired by Intel.

Not long ago, Ali disclosed that it had wholly acquired Zhongtianwei, the only independent embedded CPU IP Core company in mainland China, and DAMO Academy is also promoting the independent research and development of AI chips.

Teacher Ma also said that he himself is not from a technical background, not an engineer, but a teacher. He hopes that this trip to Israel can become a live class of technological innovation for everyone.

This time, Mr. Ma also met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The two sides discussed the future development of innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and network security.

Faced with new issues brought on by technology, such as the impact of artificial intelligence on employment, Netanyahu wanted to hear from Jack Ma.

Mr. Ma said that machines can never have the same intelligence as humans, but we should improve current education and let young people pay attention to things that machines can't do well, such as innovation.

This is Netanyahu's twitter, which roughly means:

"Had a wonderful meeting with Jack Ma, chairman of Alibaba's board of directors, who came to visit Israel."

Israeli media also reported that Alibaba announced the establishment of the "Dharma Institute" last year. This global R&D project with an investment of US$15 billion will set up a R&D center in Tel Aviv, Israel. Ma Yun and his party will also inaugurate the R&D center.

"Through this kind of learning, Alibaba wants to have more influential people in the technological innovation world," Ma said during the visit.

Look at these colleagues, the May Day holiday is very busy.

If you were given a chance to go anywhere in the world, where would you want to go?
