At the beginning of the year, because of interest, I began to contact game development. Before that, I used RPG MAKER, to be precise, rpg xp. rpg xp is indeed an easy-to-use tool, through which you can quickly make a game, even if you have no game production experience, even if you don't know programming languages at all.
At that time, a small puzzle game was made using rpg xp:
maybe it was precisely because it stimulated interest in game development.
rpg xp is really easy to get started, but more difficult to go deep. In other words, the degrees of freedom are relatively poor. But using it as a starter is indeed a good choice.
Later, I came across Egret (Egret Engine), which was just downloaded but never used.
After that, I downloaded Unity3d, followed the official tutorial to complete an introductory project, and then followed the online tutorial to make two small games.
Here I recommend a wave of introductory online course tutorials http://www.sikiedu.com/ , I first discovered it through the public account, the tutorial is really good, and it is very friendly to beginners.
But after doing these few small games, I found that I still don’t know anything about it. If I create a new project, I don’t know what to do first. In addition, there were several problems that were not googled at the time, which led me to put aside the idea of Unity. (It happened to be a 2d mini-game at that time, there was no need to use U3d, but a bull's knife was used to kill chickens)
So in the end, I met cocos creator, and through it, I actually made two small games.
Hope to give you some experience~
