Tencent TARS empowers more enterprises with excellent architecture
What kind of scenarios is suitable for this TARS technology that supports Tencent's internal system to empower other companies? Zeng Yu replied:
"1. The TARS open source project has fundamentally solved the problem of distributed computing. For more than ten years, Tencent has accumulated experience with a large number of users. When facing a large number of users, it is very clear how to do distribution and how to do it. Load balancing, how to tolerate faults, etc. If this set of technologies is built from scratch, there may be many pitfalls.
2. Improving the efficiency of research and development is another function of it. Due to its microservice, it does not need to care too much about the underlying framework, and can focus on the development of services. So from these two perspectives, TARS can save more R&D costs and reduce the chance of accidents. For smaller enterprises, if all services can be supported by one host, then it may not be of great significance. But if you need to do distribution, need to do multiple services, and need to split services, TARS is more suitable.
