Linux Subsystem Installation
Open Settings → [Update & Security] → [For Developers] → Turn on [Developer Mode] → Wait for the SDK to be installed
Open Cortana → search for [Control Panel] and open → [Programs and Features] → click [Turn Windows features on or off] on the left → Enable [Windows Subsystem for Linux] → [OK] → Wait for the feature configuration to complete and reboot the system
Search Ubuntu in the app store and install it → find [Ubuntu] in the start menu and open it → wait for the system environment configuration to complete → enter the user name and password → complete! (The steps are roughly the same for other Linux distributions)
Ubuntu Settings Chinese
If you have just installed the system, first update the software sources and packages, enter
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y
Install Chinese language pack:
sudo apt install -y language-pack-zh-hans language-pack-zh-hans-base
Set localized environment variables:
echo "LANG=zh_CN.UTF-8" >> ~/.profile
Reopen Ubuntu, done!
Not all commands support Chinese, depending on whether the software supports it.
