Set up your identity provider based on SAML single sign-on in Confluence 6 data center

If you want Confluence to provide SSO, you will need to add Confluence to your IdP. Some of the next steps will be related to your IdP, but you will usually need to:

  • Define an 'application' in your IdP
  • Provide some data for your application, including data required in your authorization interface.
  • Make sure the NameId user in your IdP is set to the username of your Atlassian app
  • Give the correct user permissions in the app

At the end of the process of setting up your IdP, some data needed to configure your Atlassian application will be provided.
