Summary of PMP learning experience

PMP learning experience summary
The "PMP certification once passed" project has finally entered the final stage. After knowing the academic performance, in addition to unexpected joy, there is infinite gratitude. Thanks to the leaders of the unit for recommending me to learn about PMP, and even more thanks to the training teacher, Wang An, who brought me into the field of PMP knowledge, and has always encouraged me, giving me sufficient information to obtain a valuable certificate.
After the intense exam study, I calmed down and thought that it was time to make an empirical summary of my study. Teacher Wang An once said that the PMP certification was the first foreign certification he obtained, and it was also my first time. I participated in the training independently and obtained the first international certificate. I thought and felt a lot. The most important thing is to learn through training. I have confirmed that my learning method is still effective, and I want to record it and share it together.
First of all, children who want to learn PMP and obtain the certification certificate are recommended to 51CTO to participate in the training class of Mr. Wang An. Reasons: personal experience, high success rate, favorable price, rich materials, and interesting learning.
PMP study is based on the PMBOK guide. In order to successfully pass the PMP exam and obtain a certificate, you must study the PMBOK guide or related books. So how to learn PMP? Where to start? What I want to say is the agile learning method: using the least time and the easiest way to successfully get the PMP certificate.
Many of my friends, maybe like me, have to work during the day and take care of their family when they go home at night. It is very difficult to squeeze time out of 24 hours to read books. Time is the biggest bottleneck for us on-the-job learners, so simple methods and efficiency are the priority. critical. Below I will describe the main process of my study.
I started to participate in PMP training on the basis of 0. Before the training, I didn't even know what PMP is and what PMP is used for. After joining the training class, the teacher gave a set of learning videos (note that this is the focus of entry). Don't worry about anything, watch the whole set of videos first, don't stop, take a little time to watch every day, watch continuously, and watch the whole set of videos (it took me a week to watch it). After reading it, I basically have a general understanding of PMP, and Mr. Wang An's speech is very exciting. After watching the first video, I need to start reading the PMBOK guide and read it completely, but the first time I read it, it felt too deep and boring, so I didn't read the PMBOK guide, but read Wang Xiaojin's book completely. Interpretation of PMBOK, this book is relatively shallow and easy to understand. But reading is not the point. The point is that I centrally organize the key content in each chapter, and then compress the content, select key points, and summarize a 365-page book into a 13-page essential reading book. (As shown below)

Take the chapter as a unit, and organize the main points while reading. In this process, the absorption of knowledge points is the fastest and the most impressive. It took me about 10 days to put together an entire book. During this process, Mr. Wang will have a training lecture every week. This lecture must be listened to. It is only 2 hours a week. If you don’t listen, I will be sorry for the training fee. After the previous video study and intensive reading of the book, you can basically comprehend most of the knowledge points, and at this stage you can enter, practice questions and simulation questions training. (This is the top priority.) In China, I think that there is no other in the exam, that is, brushing the questions, and the success rate of brushing the questions is the highest. Especially for someone like me who doesn't have time to read books. Brush the questions first. Brush the chapter exercises first. There are exercises in the 51 class. Do one chapter every day. The exercises are simple and can increase your self-confidence. After completing all the chapters, start to do the simulated practical questions. The simulated questions are also released in Class 51. You don’t need to look at other questions. Every day takes 100 questions as a unit. After completing 100 questions, check the wrong questions, analyze the wrong questions, and record the wrong questions. Knowledge points, which are convenient for the second review of knowledge points. There are a total of 5 sets of simulated real questions in the 51 class. After completing the first time, repeat the cycle to do the second time. The process of doing the questions is still the same as 100 questions a day. After completing the error checking analysis, record the knowledge points. Then repeat a third time. Because I am relatively stupid, I can only get 120 points after doing it three times. Children's shoes with a slightly better foundation may not need 3 times to achieve more than 140 points. In this way, the basic results are finalized, and it is not a big problem to pass the PMP exam once. All in all, in a word, my learning method is to read two and three questions, and one process must pass!
Maybe everyone thinks that it is a process that everyone understands, nothing special. In fact, it is not the case. Watching videos should focus on continuity and cannot be interrupted. What is important is the continuity of learning. Interrupted watching learning videos is ineffective. The reading guide focuses on intensive reading, and you must take notes. It is better to read it ten times than to memorize it once. If you pass it, you will pass your brain. It takes the least time to grasp these key points to learn. So in my personal method study, I watched the video once, watched Wang Xiaojin's interpretation book once, and brushed the simulated real questions 3 times. (Of course I regret not seeing it, time is too tight)
Through this preparation method, I successfully passed the PMP certification exam from a 0-level student, and completed the one-time customs clearance project given to me by Mr. Wang An. The grades can still get a 4A, secretly surprised ^_^

Some people may ask, the best score is only 120 when I simulate the real test, how can I get a 4A? Is it because I am lucky? In fact, I have two other magic weapons. . Now let me share with you my must-have stunts.
I have been in the examination room for decades, from primary school to university, and then to civil servants (not admitted), and then to master of engineering. Exams come and go, and domestic exams can't get rid of a few moves, betting on questions, guessing questions, and finding rules. Although the PMP exam is an international exam, it is limited by the content and the scope of the questions, and the content of the exam still has certain rules. I have found some unwritten rules by doing the questions. This is my ultimate big move. . The details are as follows:
Many questions in PMP have some seemingly inadvertent rules, one of which is called "fixed collocation", that is, seeing a certain keyword in the meaning of the question, there must be a corresponding collocation in the answer. Generally, such collocations are accurate The rate is very high. Finding the correct answer in this way can greatly save time for solving problems, improve the speed of the test, and spend more time solving other problems.
For example, if it is mentioned in the question stem that the project manager has received a new project or is about to start a new project, if the project charter appears in the answer, it is mostly the correct answer. The following is an example of the real
question 1

Question 2

Question 3

Question 4

There are still many fixed collocations like this:
the tools used to analyze the causes of the question stems are generally cause-and-effect diagrams;
the main problem analysis of the question stems must be Pareto diagrams;
see that the question stems are multiple people in different regions For meetings, the general answer is to use the Delphi technique;
if you see the question stem saying that the progress is behind, and there are many resources, the general answer is to rush to work;
if you see the question stem saying that the progress is behind, and the resources are few, you are required to take measures to speed up the progress, the general answer is All follow up quickly;
see the question stem says that the procurement involves experts, and the general answer is the quantity contract;
and so on. These fixed collocations are to find the key points from the question stem and quickly recall the knowledge points, so as to be able to find a match in the answer, even if you can't find it, if you find the right one, it will greatly improve the speed, and sometimes even the question Don't finish reading. ^_^
Fixed collocations can be memorized as a knowledge point, so that you can think of this knowledge point at the first time when solving a problem, and then analyze whether the collocation is correct, because the success rate of fixed collocations is high, so even if some are not the best answers, But it is also individual, or can improve the problem-solving speed to a certain extent.
There is also a kind of "hidden mystery", that is, the keywords of the answer are often implied in the question stem (especially in the last sentence of the question stem). Through these keywords, the corresponding answer can be found, which greatly improves the reading speed. , that is, you don't have to read the question completely and find keywords to solve the problem, because many inscriptions have a lot of words, but many words are confusing or redundant, deliberately confusing or procrastinating to solve the problem.
For example:
Question 1

Question 2

Question 3

There are still many ways to quickly find the answer to an inductive question like this, and we need to find out one by one to improve the speed of solving the problem.
With speed and a higher hit idea, it is not difficult to pass the exam. However, people often have weaknesses, low psychological resistance, and confusion in the examination room often occurs, which is also a crucial factor affecting test scores. I am such a person with low self-confidence, easily affected by the environment, stage fright in exams, and trembling nervously.
But any weakness can't make it persist in the exam, so I have the second nirvana - "Tiger Crane Double Line", pay attention to the line not the shape of the shape, explained in the figure below.

^^ !
In order to eliminate fear and improve self-confidence, I first went to the test site the day before the test to check the terrain, including calculating the distance to the test room, time, route planning, and remedies for delays caused by various hypothetical emergencies. To ensure that everything goes smoothly from departure to the examination room, you must walk into the examination room with peace of mind, and never go to the "battlefield" in a hurry. Losers do not lose.
Secondly, the test time is 4 hours. Although you can drink water, you have to go out for food and convenience. You don’t have so much time to go out for the test. If you go out, you will waste the time of the test. Even if you go out, you are not in the mood to eat. nervous. So don't let hunger affect the mood of the exam. I bought the magic weapon in the picture the night before the exam. By coincidence, these two chocolates were waiting for me. I fell in love with them at a glance. I ate one before entering the exam room. "Extraordinary performance", the intention is that once you eat it, you can exceed the usual simulation level and raise a level. After eating it, I was quite hungry. After the exam, I was actually hungry. I ate another "dark horse in the exam room", intending to fight back against the trend if I didn't perform well. O(∩
∩)O haha~ In the end, it lived up to my expectations. The nirvana took effect. Although there was no 5A, it was still satisfactory.
Maybe it's a bit exaggerated, but through these actions, I improved my self-confidence and relieved a lot of my nervousness. In the last fight, I stood on the edge of danger around 120 points to the final finish line. My efforts were not in vain.
This is my experience and experience of getting the PMP certification qualification from a zero basis. There are no shortcuts to learning, but there are methods. The experience of others may not be suitable for the individual, but they can use this "force" to transfer flowers and trees, draw inferences from other facts, apply them flexibly, and finally achieve their desired goals. I hope my experience can give my friends a little inspiration, see valuable things from them, and go further and better on the road of learning!
