We first need to understand the following concepts:
1. Central theme
The central theme is the starting point of the mind map you want to draw, and it is also the starting point of the title "How to do a mind map". A series of subsequent actions such as branching are completed based on this central theme.
When entering iMindMap to create a new Mind Map view, we can choose the style of the central theme, and of course we can modify it later.
2. Add a branch
Many users who are new to iMindMap will have the question of "how to do a mind map", which is largely confused by this icon like an arrow target.
Move the mouse near the central theme and the icon shown in the picture will appear.
Click the red bullseye to add a branch, and click and drag to control the direction and length of the branch.
Click on the yellow bullseye to add framed branches, and the drag-and-drop feature also works.
How to make a mind map beautiful and fast? Some shortcuts must not be forgotten: Use the TAB or ENTER keys to quickly add branches.
3. Theme base editing
After clicking on any topic to select it, a gray circular icon will also appear above the icon for adding a branch. Click this gray button to edit the topic.
