Install win7 missing required CD/DVD drive device driver

  • Problem Description:

    Now it is estimated that everyone does not need a CD to install Windows. Basically, the easiest way is to install the U disk. To install the WINDOWS7 operating system through the U disk, the most used tool in the actual operation process is the UltraISO software.

By inserting the U disk, and then in the UltraISO boot label, we can choose to write to the hard disk to make the U disk WINDOWS7 installation disk we want.

    However, in the actual operation process, we will encounter a more troublesome problem: the required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. At this time, there is no way for our installation to continue as shown below:

Here is the solution:

  • First, reinsert the U disk
  • Second, insert the U disk into the USB2.0 port

          This USB2.0 is still quite different. Basically, the black USB port is 2.0, and the blue one is 3.0. Of course, there are special circumstances. At this time, you can check the USB settings in the BIOS. I have encountered a Lenovo desktop computer in the project before. The default USB is all 3.0, and the fifth usb can be changed to 2.0 in the bios.

  • Third, inject the 3.0 driver into the U disk

        After downloading the pure version of windows7 image (ISO), use a floppy disk to make a bootable U disk.

        Then download the USB3.0 injection driver program, I collected two from the Internet, one is Microsoft's own, and the other is Gigabyte.

The above is how to use windowsimagetool.

Above is the download link for win7-creator.

The usage is similar:

Run the software as an administrator first;

Then select the partition where your U disk is located;

Click Create Image to start adding programs to the U disk. The process will be relatively long. Intel's official data is 15 minutes, and the actual measurement exceeds 20 minutes.

When finished, the U disk has been injected with the 3.0 driver.

The following friends can continue to boot from the U disk to install the operating system.
