The computer can remotely access the virtual machine on the physical machine and copy the resources in the virtual machine to the computer

1. What is a virtual machine?

Like a physical machine, a virtual machine is a software computer that runs an operating system and applications. The operating system installed on the virtual machine is called the guest operating system.
Because each virtual machine is an isolated computing environment, you can use virtual machines as a desktop/workstation environment or test environment, or to consolidate server applications.

In vCenter Server, virtual machines run on hosts or clusters. The same host can run multiple virtual machines.

2. The computer can remotely access the virtual machine on the physical machine and copy the resources in the virtual machine to the computer

Use VMware vSphere Client to log in to the server (physical machine) to open the virtual machine, and then enter the virtual machine console to make corresponding settings. Finally, you can remotely access the virtual machine through the remote desktop connection of the computer, and then copy files from the virtual machine to the virtual machine. on the computer.

  • Specific implementation :

(1) Power on the virtual machine. Log in to the vSphere Client using the VMware vSphere Client. The vSphere Client is used to manage virtual machines on the server host, including powering on and powering off virtual machines.

(2) Power on the virtual machine in vSphere Client, for example: ***146.gis.com this virtual machine.

Open the console to enter the virtual machine desktop.

(3) Make the following settings on the virtual machine desktop:

  • computer name setting

  • IP settings

  • Remote settings

  • Advanced sharing settings

  • User Account Settings

(4) Ping it. Verify that the local machine and the virtual machine can establish network connectivity

The image above shows that the local and remote virtual machines are capable of network connectivity.

If the virtual machine is not turned on and the virtual machine and the local machine are not on the same network segment, the ping cannot be successful, as shown in the following figure:

(5) Local remote desktop connection to virtual machine

Run --> "mstsc" --> enter the remote virtual machine ip address and user name in the remote desktop connection that pops up, and in the local resources tab --> local devices and resources --> details --> in the drive list Check the drive letter of the local hard disk to facilitate copying data.

Click Connect, enter the password in the pop-up window, for example: ****@123, you can access the virtual machine remotely.
