Step 1: Open Eclipse  --> Window --> Preferences

Step 2: Click Java --> Open Editor --> Click Content Assist

Step 3: Set the value of Auto activition triggers for Java to .abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz (remember not to forget the decimal point or there will be no prompt if you type a decimal point) and then click Apply to save the configuration.
