Volcano charts are very common, and the detailed drawing methods have also been described in my previous article ( Q&A | ggplot draws volcano charts and adds text labels ). What I mainly talk about today is how to achieve when the threshold line is a hyperbola? We draw an auxiliary line for easy understanding.
As shown in the figure, two curves of the original function are drawn based on the original threshold line respectively y=1/x. The classification of genes in this way facilitates the selection of genes with more significant differences.
