Jiangmen Rural Commercial Bank is rooted in Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province. As of the end of 2020, its total assets exceeded 110 billion yuan, and its market share in deposits and loans continued to rank among the city's banks. In 2020, it was ranked 535th in the "Top 1000 National Banks" by the British "The Banker" magazine, the top 100 domestic banks, and the 18th National Rural Commercial Bank.
Beginning in 2015, Jiangmen Rural Commercial Bank has gradually established a self-service analysis platform covering general ledger, customers, deposits, loans, wealth management, electronic banking, international business and other topics, and prepared custom reports for all employees of the bank to extract data. And analysis provides strong support.
However, with the gradual increase in the utilization rate of the self-service analysis platform and the increasing amount of data, especially when multiple people query and analyze business topics with a large amount of data at the same time, the platform has a serious waiting phenomenon, which affects the availability. In addition, the data processing efficiency of the single-node DB2 database is low, which also reduces the development efficiency of scientific and technical personnel, and directly affects the data service capability.

In order to solve the above problems, Jiangmen Rural Commercial Bank decided to upgrade the technology of the self-service analysis platform, and use the Alibaba Cloud cloud native data warehouse AnalyticDB to replace the traditional DB2 database.

The technical director of Jiangmen Rural Commercial Bank said that the introduction of the Alibaba Cloud AnalyticDB data processing platform has greatly improved the efficiency of statistical analysis and detailed query in the industry; the tenants provided by the provincial association’s proprietary cloud platform can perform computing resource flexibility according to their needs. Management has greatly reduced costs. At the same time, because of the high maturity of the product, there is almost no operation and maintenance cost.
It is understood that AnalyticDB is the only analytical database under Alibaba Cloud that has been verified on a large scale. It has supported massive data analysis during the Double Eleven Shopping Festival for many years and has been widely used in Alibaba Group's multi-business scenarios.
