1. The host sets up a shared printer

1. First, we need to connect the printer to the host, install the HP M1136 printer driver, and turn on the printer to be in normal working condition. For the time being, the computer directly connected to the printer is referred to as [Host], and other computers in the LAN that need to share printing with the host are referred to as [Client].

2. On the desktop of the computer system connected to the printer, double-click the control panel shortcut to open the control panel, and find the [Devices and Printers] option in the opened control panel window, as shown in the following figure:

Click [Devices and Printers] , in the pop-up [Devices and Printers] window [Printers] column, find the icon of the target printer you want to share, right-click the printer icon, and select the [Printer Properties] option in the drop-down menu , The HP LaserJet Professional M1136 MFP printer properties window pops up , as shown in the figure below:

4. In the printer properties window that pops up, switch to the [Sharing] column, select (check) [Share this printer (S)] , and set a [share name (H)] , or use the default printer share name that is Yes (remember the share name, it may be used in the following settings), as shown in the figure below:

 

Second, the host advanced sharing settings

1. On the desktop of the computer system connected to the printer, double-click the control panel shortcut to open the control panel. In the opened control panel window, find the [Network and Sharing Center] option, as shown in the following figure:

2. Click the [Network and Sharing Center] option with the left mouse button , and in the pop-up [Network and Sharing Center] panel, click the left button [Change advanced sharing settings] option with the left mouse button , as shown in the figure below:

3. In the pop-up [Advanced Sharing Settings] panel, select the [All Networks] column, in the [All Networks] column, find the [Password Protected Sharing] option, select [No Password Protected Sharing] , and then click the left mouse button [Save changes] , as shown in the figure below:

 

Three, the host is configured with a fixed IP address

1. On the desktop of the computer system connected to the printer, double-click the control panel shortcut to open the control panel. In the opened control panel window, find the [Network and Sharing Center] option, as shown in the following figure:

2. Left-click the [Network and Sharing Center] option, and in the pop-up [Network and Sharing Center] panel, click the left-side [Change Adapter Settings] option, as shown in the figure below:

3. In the pop-up [Network Connection] panel, right-click the current network icon, in the pop-up drop-down options, select [Status] , in the pop-up [Ethernet Status] window, click the left mouse button [Details] Information] option, in the pop-up [Network Connection Details] window, take a screenshot record (required to set a fixed IP later), as shown in the figure below:

4. In the [Network Connections] panel, right-click the current network icon, in the pop-up drop-down options, select [Properties] , in the pop-up [Ethernet Properties] window, double-click [Internet Protocol Version 4] (TCP/IPv4)] option, in the pop-up [Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)] properties window, set a fixed network IP address (set according to the screenshot of the previous step), as shown in the figure below:

 

Fourth, the client adds the target printer

1. For the client (other computers in the LAN that need to share printing with the host), use the shortcut key WIN+R to  open the system running window, and then enter the host IP address in the running window, the format is: \\192.168.1.3, as shown in the figure below Show:

2. After entering the host's fixed IP address in the client operating window, click the [OK] button, and the following window will pop up, select the corresponding host shared printer icon, and double-click the left mouse button to install the corresponding printer driver, as shown in the following figure:

3. Install the printer driver on the client. If the following figure appears, it means that the shared printer driver has been successfully installed on the client.

4. On the client computer, double-click the [Control Panel] shortcut icon on the system desktop to enter [Control Panel] , and click [Devices and Printers] with the left mouse button to enter the [Devices and Printers] panel, as shown in the figure below, in the [ Control Panel] The HP printer icon starting with the IP address appears in the " Printer" column, which means that the client computer can use the HP printer connected to the host to print materials.
