2020 is coming to an end. Let’s look back at this year’s growth and regrets.

Start the path of PhD
2020.01.03 Dr. signed up and spent 200 yuan for the registration fee. At that time, I was only studying for half a semester, so I felt that my 200 yuan was going to be lost because I was here to pick up the leaks and wanted to bet on luck. Who ever thought, I was really gambled by myself. The doctoral interview started on June 14th. The reason for the epidemic was our online interview. The results came out on June 29. Fortunately, I was notified that the doctoral admission was accepted, but at this time it was still In the proposed admission status, you will only become a Ph.D. after the publicity period. To be honest, I still dare not share the so-called good news with others at this time. I am still quite flustered. I am always afraid of accidents. If I say it then, I won't be able to take it back, and I am afraid of slaps in the face. I have been perturbed until August 4, when I received the admission letter, and it was at this time that I really relaxed. I was also a little unbelievable, and silently said to myself "Hey, you really got a doctorate!". Everything is so exciting, all day long, my facial muscles are smiling arcs. I think I'm one step closer to my goal~ This is probably the thing that made me most happy this year.

From the beginning of the semester, one paper is being submitted and one is not yet finished.
Strictly speaking, this is the first time I have written a paper, and I am very dependent on the teacher. That is to say, many details that need to be paid attention to in the paper and the paper frame are all completed under the guidance of the teacher (PS. here) Special thanks to Teacher Yue for your patient guidance~).
The overall timeline of the first article is as follows:
Start writing in mid-September;
The first draft was submitted on September 30;
On October 16th, annotate the pictures in the article, modify the format of the formula, etc.; initially, the teacher and the teacher planned to submit to a Chinese journal, responding to the call of the country, and published the results on the land of the motherland, but the review time for the Chinese journals that I want to submit is too late Long, so I finally decided to vote in a foreign language journal, which requires translation of the previous Chinese version.
On November 25th, the translation of the draft is finished.

The manuscript was submitted on December 28th.
Overall, this article took about three and a half months. It was delayed by various things for various reasons, so in fact, the speed was a bit slow. Fortunately, it has already been voted, waiting for a reply.
In the process of writing the first paper, other studies were also done, which constituted the supporting material for my second paper. The timeline of the second paper is as follows:
2020/12/16: Start to frame
2020/12/16~2020/12/18: Writing methodology part + data preparation part + part drawing
2020/12/19~2020/12/27: Add data (comsol, matlab), prepare more sufficient data, and draw for the discussion part, the first draft is completed (no abstract, no conclusion)
Here comes the end. I sent the article to the teacher first. I want to see if there is any problem with the big framework, and if the content of each part is lacking. The teacher is a bit busy and has not discussed this matter with me yet.
Waiting......
With the experience of the first article, the second article went relatively smoothly, at least I have a spectrum in my heart, knowing what to write, how to write, and so on.

I wrote a patent at the same time when I wrote the first paper. In my opinion, the patent seems to be better to write than the paper, and it takes about 2, 3 days to complete the draft. The first patent timeline is as follows:
2020/09/23: Contribution (2 days after writing)
2020/10/18: The formula is re-edited and submitted with mathtype (formatting issue)
2020/10/28~2020/12/14: According to the revised opinions (submitted)
The current status of this patent is that it has been submitted to the Patent Office.
As for the second patent,

Chorus Cultural Festival
In addition to the achievements in scientific research, this year I also realized my small wish.
Our college has a chorus cultural festival every year, a large-scale evening party specially organized for freshmen. Every class of freshmen has to show programs. I acted as the chorus conductor of our class. In fact, when I first entered the master's class last year, I was the conductor, but last year I wore a shirt + black pants and changed into a dress this year. Why is it a small wish, because I have always wanted to wear a dress to stand on the stage. I didn’t have any chance before, but now it is realized. I am lucky to have won the best conductor award. I am really happy. Thanks to the college and class for giving me this Opportunity~

Cat
This year is really the biggest year for me. One of the most important reasons is that my cat (Fried Fried Huhu) has its own baby, 3 little blue cats (1 male and 2 female). Watch on October 18. Huhu had a big belly, and went to the hospital for a checkup. She was pregnant with 4 children. I was so excited that I bought her a changing mat, goat milk, vitamins, calcium tablets, etc. When Huhu first came home, her body was very weak and it was difficult to grow up so much. I was so afraid that her small body would be difficult to give birth when she gave birth. We couldn’t take her to the hospital. Put diaper pads and cardboard boxes in some possible places. I hope she can find a comfortable place to give birth. On the morning of October 26, Huhu began to give birth. Three kittens survived, and one died of suffocation. Huhu's overall state is okay, but very tired. I squatted by her and watched her give birth, helped her smooth her hair, told her that I was always there, and let her relax. Huhu trusted me very much and let me watch her give birth throughout the whole process. If I wanted to leave, she would tell me not to leave. The whole process probably lasted more than 2 hours. This is the first time that I have watched a cat give birth and tried hard to give birth to a baby. I cried while rubbing up the fur, lamenting the miracle of life and the greatness of mother. After Huhu gave birth, I hurriedly placed the kitten in a warm place and prepared Huhu to warm the goat's milk to replenish energy. It's really hard work. After this time, Huhu has become close to me a lot, and I am very happy.

Qingdao trip
On August 17, I went to Qingdao under the leadership of my teacher. I am especially grateful to the teacher for this opportunity. I learned a lot and saw a lot of things. Speaking of it, this is my first business trip, and my joy is overflowing. After staying for 3 days, I went to Badaguan and May Fourth Square to experience the culture of Qingdao and watch the sea and listen to the sea. What a wonderful trip

This year is also an uneven year. Apart from the epidemic, my home is also not going well. On May 8th, I accompanied my mother for gastrointestinal endoscopy. On May 30th, my grandmother had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital in the middle of the night.
to sum up:
This year's overall fortune preference is just that the epidemic has caused everyone to panic, and I haven't made much academic progress, but the road ahead looks bright, and the future is beckoning to me. I hope that I can settle down in 2021. I will lay a solid foundation and have a lot of papers and patents.
