How to take out the pictures of Word/Pages/keynote.. files

Today, I will teach you a macOS hidden technique. When editing Word, Pages, Keynote and other documents on Mac, if there are many pictures in the file, you can quickly grab all the pictures with this little technique, and you don’t need to go through it. No need to memorize instructions after any third-party App!

The method to save the picture from the file is very simple, let's see how to do it.

The screenshot below uses Pages as an example, but other iWork and Office software do the same.

If you capture the pictures in the "Make good use of multiple desktops. pages" file:

Just rename the file, and then change the extension from pages to zip (the same for .key, .numbers, .doc... etc. files); if the extension is not displayed, just go to the preferences on the Finder , Just check "Show extensions".

After changing the extension, macOS will ask you if you want to confirm the change. Please confirm to use .zip here.

Then unzip the .zip file and enter the "Data" folder in the folder:

You can see the pictures in this file inside!

The same is true for files in Word or other formats, just change the extension to .zip:

The folder path of different files may be slightly different. For example, the office file may be in the "media" folder. You will always find it if you look for it.

To put it simply, iWork files (Pages, Keynote, Numbers) or Office files (.doc/docx, .ppt/pptx, .xls/xlsx), etc., just change the extension file name in the Finder to .zip, and Unzip, you can find the pictures in the file in the folder inside.
