Pages for mac is one of the Three Musketeers Apple iWork office suite, it is a simple and easy to use word processing and page layout application, it can help you create the perfect document at any time, let you instantly transform a writer and graphic designer .
To use, you can export Pages documents to other formats store a copy of the new format. When you need to send a document to a person using different software, which is very useful. Any changes to the export documents do not affect the original file.
If you use the "Smart Notes" add or edit a mark, they do not appear in the exported Word, EPUB Pages '09 or presentation. In the exported PDF, annotations indicate whether they are visible when you export.

Pages will store a copy of the document to other formats
1. Open the document, and select "File"> "Export to"> "[File Format]" (from the top of the screen the "File" menu).

PDF: These files can be opened in the "Preview" and Adobe Acrobat and other applications, and sometimes can be edited in them. Click "Image Quality" pop-up menu, and choose an option (the higher the image quality, a copy of the exported file sizes greater).
Word: If a file needs to be compatible with older versions of Microsoft Word (1997-2004), click the "Advanced Options", then choose from the pop-up menu in the ".doc".
Plain text (TXT): The body text exported as plain text. Will not be exported text boxes, shapes, images, lines, tables and charts. Page Layout documents can not be exported as TXT format.
Rich Text Format (RTF): The body text and tables exported as formatted (RTF) text and tables. If the document has a text box can be derived, shapes, lines, and charts, which will then be exported as an image, and the document is led to RTFD format. Other applications may not open RTFD file. Page Layout documents can not be exported to RTF or RTFD format.
EPUB: to make available to read in e-book reading programs (such as Apple Books) documents in this format. Enter a title and author's name, and then select the cover options.
Only for word processing documents, please choose a layout type. Fixed layout preserve the layout of your presentation, and most fit the document containing multiple columns or large number of images. To set an optional feature, click next to "Advanced Options" disclosure triangle, and then select a category, specify the document language, will set the view to a single page or double page, and select whether to embed fonts.
Pages '09: This format can be opened by Pages 4.0 to Pages 4.3 on the Mac.

set a password: Select "Require password to open" check box, and then enter the password. This setting is only applied to the exported copy.
Preserve the original document Password: OK "Require password to open" check box is selected.
Use a different password for the exported copy: Select the "Require password to open" check box, and click the "Change Password", and then set a new password.
Exported without a password copy: Cancel Select "Require password to open" check box.
4. Click "Next", and then type the name of the document (such as .pdf or .epub without a file extension, they will automatically attach up).
5. Enter one or more marker (optional).
6. To export the selected storage location of copies, click the "Position" pop-up menu, choose a location, then click "Export."
7. To see more locations, click the arrow next to "Position" pop-up menu (in macOS High Sierra 10.13, click the "Save as" arrows next to the text field).
