Use SPSS to transpose and organize data

Today we are going to demonstrate a very practical function of data transposition and data sorting in SPSS. When entering data, we novices often do not understand the format of data entry clearly. It is not uncommon to enter data horizontally, and wait until the end of the entry. It is found that the format is wrong, and the statistical software cannot recognize it, which is very difficult. As shown in the figure below, the statistical software of this format cannot

be recognized. It should be converted to the following format

. Today we will demonstrate how to use SPSS to convert the data format. First copy the data in the wrong format into SPSS, as shown in the figure below.

Enter the data. If the statistical software does not need to enter the name, we delete the name

and then click Data-Transfer set

all the options in the variable, and then identified

and then obtained as shown below, 001 is a label signed variable, we do not need, delete it

and obtain the data shown below

and the data before and after comparison, changes again The label is enough.

Delete the first item, and finally get the complete data after transposition and analysis. Isn’t it simple?
