SPSS read data file

1. Read the Excel data file

(1) Select "File" - "Open" - "Data", and select the Excel file in the pop-up "Open Data" dialog box, as shown in the figure

(2) Select the Excel file to be opened and click "Open", as shown in the figure

 (3) You can choose the range to open the table data, here is all selected by default, as shown in the figure, and then click "OK"

 (4) The result after reading the Excel file is shown in the figure below.

2. Read the database file

(1) Click "File" - "Import Data" - "Database" - "New Query" 

(2) The "Database Wizard" dialog box will pop up as shown in the figure below, select "MS Access Database", and then click Next

(3) Select the database file to be opened and click Open 

 (4) Select the database table to be imported, then click the arrow in the middle of the figure to import the fields, and click Next

 (5) The figure below is used to specify the import conditions. This example imports all data, click Next

 (6) The name and data type of each field can be modified in the figure below. This example does not modify, click Next

 (6) The figure below shows the formed database query SQL statement, you can click "Browse" to save it, if you don't want to save it, click the Finish button

(7) The final result of reading the database is as follows 


Note: The SPSS version used in this column is 25.0. If the version is different, the above steps can be modified according to the specific version.
