Forget ROOT password in Ubuntu20.04 version, reset password

I just installed the latest version of the Ubuntu operating system some time ago. After playing for two days, I put it aside and busy with other things. When I was about to do something more today, I found that forgetting the password is such an embarrassing thing that I might have forgotten it when I get older. Oh, my heart is so tired! Let’s start serving.
2. Reset password of non-ROOT account (graphical)
Foreword:
This operation step is applicable to the ROOT account and password, which can be operated; if the ROOT password has been set, please refer to (3. Reset the ROOT account password).
(1) Start the Ubuntu system, press the Esc key (press it a few times, and then leave the interface to be safe) to enter the following interface:
(2) Use the up, down, left, and right keys to move and select, and select the Ubuntu advanced option (or the word Ubuntu Advanced) , Press Enter to press Enter
(3) select Ubuntu, with linux 5.8.0-36 (recovery mode) (select the highest version option you have shown, you don’t need to entangle the version), press Enter, and
keep pressing e key until a new interface is released.
(4) The interface of the new version is different from the previous interface. Press the e key to display the following interface:
(5) Select the root option and press
Enter to enter this interface (the command line appears below); Note: This is the root account without password. If you have previously configured the root account password, you need to enter another mode to reset the password.
As shown below:
Note: When selecting the root option, press Enter for the second time and the
command line interface (root@kid:~#) appears .
(6) Enter the account and password.
Note: The root account password can be set here. The command is as follows. The
first line: passwd root. The
second line:
-enter the password-the modification is completed, and successful is a prompt for successful modification.
3. Reset ROOT account password (command line)
(1) Start the Ubuntu system, and press the E key (press it several times, it is guaranteed to leave the interface after exiting the interface). On the contrary, if the account interface appears, follow the previous steps to re-operate and enter the following interface:
(2) Move up, down, left and right keys to find the position of the beginning of RO, as shown in the figure below:
(3) Delete ro and configure it after Splash (rw init=/bin/bash) as shown in the figure below:
(4) As above, after the configuration is complete Press Ctrl+X to enter the command interface, as shown in the figure below:

Format: passwd + account name
New password: (password)
