Class 2: ECS server purchase and preparation
I. Introduction
The most typical scenario of ECS application is a website. The operation of the website is like human beings. We need space for living, room for sleeping, living room for eating, etc. The website also needs a container like a room to carry its operation. And ECS is its container, the space where the website runs. We know that the room needs to be renovated to create a better sleeping environment, and the operating space of the website also needs to be renovated to fit the environment of the website, so we must first buy an ECS server.
2. How to buy ECS server
How to buy ECS server? First, we enter the official Alibaba Cloud website www.aliyun.com in the URL bar of the browser . We can browse to the homepage of Alibaba Cloud.
Next, move the mouse to the product and
click on the ECS cloud server. The relevant introduction of ECS is displayed. You can also learn about ECS specifications and applicable scenarios by pulling down.
Click Buy Now, you will enter the purchase basic configuration page
(Before clicking Buy Now, you need to register an Alibaba Cloud account and complete real-name authentication)
Currently, there are two purchase methods, one is one-click purchase and the other is custom purchase. One-click purchase is suitable for users who have low personalization needs and quick delivery; custom purchase is suitable for users who have high personalization needs.

Third, the detailed process of purchasing ECS
(1) Basic configuration
First of all, let's take a look at the payment model. Three examples are shown here, including annual and monthly subscription, pay-as-you-go, and preemptive examples. The small text has the relevant introduction to each mode, here I choose the annual and monthly subscription as an example.
Geography and availability zone are simply the geographic location where ECS is purchased. Take the website as an example, it will affect the speed of users visiting the website. ECS serves users closer together, and provides users with faster access.
As an example, here I choose computing type c6 as an example, 2 core 4G as an example, the number is 1
mirror, divided into public mirror, custom mirror, shared mirror, mirror market.

Storage includes system disks and data disks; all belong to cloud disks. At present, cloud disks are divided into high-efficiency cloud disks, ESSD cloud disks, and SSD cloud disks. It was previously divided into high-efficiency cloud disks, SSD cloud disks, and ordinary cloud disks.
Here I only choose the system disk as ESSD as an example, other defaults.
I don’t make a choice for the snapshot service.
(2) Network and Security Group
Here I choose the default. Of course, you can change according to your needs,
such as whether to assign a public IP; the bandwidth billing mode chooses fixed bandwidth or traffic, if you choose fixed bandwidth, how much bandwidth is required, if you choose traffic, the peak bandwidth How much do you need.
(3) System configuration
Login credentials here I choose a custom password, other defaults, here change according to your needs
