ECS Centos 7 system installation graphical desktop
The default Linux Centos7 system image on Alibaba Cloud's official website does not have a desktop environment installed. If users want to use the desktop, they need to install it on the server.
This tutorial takes the MATE desktop installation as an example
1. Log in to the server and execute the command to install the desktop environment.
Install MATE Desktop first
yum groups install "MATE Desktop"
After installing MATE Desktop, install X Window System.
yum groups install "X Window System"
Set the server to start the desktop by default
systemctl set-default graphical.target
After the installation is complete, run the command to restart the server. On the ECS server console, use the management terminal to log in to the server desktop.
reboot
The installation command record is as follows:
2. On the ECS console, use the management terminal to log in to the server and view the installed desktop.
After entering the management terminal password, enter the server system login interface and log in to the server with the root password.
