Intranet IP and Public IP

Intranet IP:

From the figure, you can see the router (first layer), switch (second layer) and then your own computer. The so-called intranet starts from below the router. The computers of our internal users can only connect to the external network after going through the switch and router. The router only needs one public IP to be used by multiple computers below. Because different intranet IPs can be reused. Therefore, the intranet IP usually has the following types:

10.0.0.0~10.255.255.255

172.16.0.0~172.31.255.255

192.168.0.0~192.168.255.255

Public IP:

With a public IP, users can directly access the Internet without going through a router or switch. In addition, it can be directly accessed by the outside world without any equipment, directly connected to the computer. What are the benefits of public IP? In fact, the first networks we used were all public IPs, but with the popularity of computers, operators did not have enough public IPV4 addresses to allocate to users, so they could only secretly change public IPs to intranet IPs and distribute them to multiple ones. User use, but this also has a lot of impact on user experience.

1. Public network IP has a better download experience
2. Public network IP has a better interconnection experience
3. Public network IP game experience is better
