Some of the above tools provide the function of scanning and analyzing unknown game file compression formats. But it is not omnipotent. Some tools can well identify the compression format of the same series of game files. For example, MultiEx Commander, Game Extractor and Dragon Unpacker have 1st generation of Port Royale in the list of supported games, but no 2nd generation.
