Microsoft's new generation operating system win10X has been compiled

Microsoft compiled the final build version of Windows 10X on December 10.

Microsoft has not yet fully completed the development of this operating system, and the company is still working to fix the problems it has discovered. The system is believed to be pre-installed only on new lightweight and economical PCs and is expected to appear with new devices sometime next year, which means that Windows 10X will not be used on existing PCs or Surface Go 2 Waiting for the tablet.

Considering that Windows 10X contains many new design elements, it can also be predicted that Windows in 2021 will be exciting. Although the 2021 spring update may once again bring a small regular update of the Windows 10 version, we may see Windows 10X launch with it on new devices. Then, in the fall, the rumored new design style of "Sun Valley" and the next important Windows 10 "Cobalt" update will arrive.

The last cumulative update released this year

While the latest progress of Windows 10X is satisfying, Microsoft also released the last cumulative update for Windows 10 in 2020 – KB4592438 in the first two days. Users can update through Windows Update.

It should be noted that starting from December 2020, if the user's device is not manually upgraded, then Microsoft will begin to force some users to upgrade to Windows 10 Version 1909 or Version 2004. This is a further action taken after Microsoft announced the end of support for Windows 10 Version 1903 (including Home Edition and Professional Edition).

For most users, Microsoft has issued an upgrade reminder two months in advance, which should not be a problem. Microsoft has made it clear before that even if users are unwilling to upgrade, it will force users to upgrade.

If you are using Windows 10 Version 1903, you will be forced to upgrade to Version 1909 later this month. If you are currently using Windows 10 Version 1909, you will be forced to upgrade to Windows 10 Version 2004 next spring. Remember, unless you are willing to modify the Windows registry or Group Policy, users cannot prevent forced upgrades.

If you are one of the users who are still using last year’s Windows 10 version, it’s best to try to upgrade manually. To get the latest version of Windows 10, just go to the Settings app and check for updates. If your device cannot be upgraded directly due to various compatibility reasons, you can try to install it directly through the multimedia creation tool or download the Windows 10 ISO image.
