Huawei's market share has fallen sharply, OPPO and vivo failed to seize the opportunity to seize the market

The data released by the market survey CINNO showed that the share of Huawei's mobile phones in the domestic market declined sharply in the third quarter. Xiaomi and Apple took the opportunity to fill Huawei's vacancies. Unfortunately, OPPO and vivo failed to share the pie but continued to decline.

According to the data from CINNO, Huawei’s share of the domestic mobile phone market in the third quarter was 36.3%, a decrease of 5.7 percentage points from 42% in the same period last year, and a reduction of nearly 10 percentage points from the second quarter of this year.

Huawei's share of the domestic mobile phone market has shrunk sharply, with Xiaomi and Apple becoming the winners. Among them, Xiaomi’s market share was 14.8%, an increase of 5 percentage points from 9.8% in the same period last year, and an increase of 5.8 percentage points from the second quarter of this year; Apple’s market share was 10.2%, an increase of 2 percentage points from the same period last year. The second quarter increased by 1.2 percentage points.

Originally, domestic mobile phone companies knew that Huawei mobile phones were likely to fall into recession and tried to share the pie. However, OPPO and vivo in the top four domestic mobile phones were quite disappointing this time. This data shows that the market shares of vivo and OPPO are respectively 17.5% and 16.0% were down 0.5 and 0.8 percentage points from the same period last year.

Vivo and OPPO failed to benefit from the decline of Huawei. First of all, they failed to effectively break through the high-end mobile phone market. The sales of their high-end mobile phones in the domestic mobile phone market are not high, but the mid-to-high-end mobile phone Redmi K30 launched by Xiaomi Pro and Xiaomi 10 entered the top two 5G mobile phone hot-selling lists in e-commerce channels.

In the mid-to-low-end mobile phone market, in order to ensure profit, vivo and OPPO released mid-range phones this year, priced at more than 2,000 yuan, and there are too few models of phones below 2,000 yuan. Xiaomi’s 5G phones continue to break 5G The price of mobile phones is record low.

Vivo and OPPO are unable to compete with Huawei and Xiaomi in the high-end mobile phone market, and the low-end market lacks sufficiently competitive products. Being limited to the mid-end mobile phone market should be the cause of their continued decline in market share. They have to change this situation. Need further effort.

However, relatively speaking, OPPO’s situation may be much better. The shipment volume of realme, which is independent from OPPO, has not been counted in OPPO. This year, realme has been fighting against Xiaomi in the domestic low-end mobile phone market. The lowest price of 5G mobile phones recently launched by realme is only 999 yuan, setting a record for the lowest price of 5G mobile phones. Realme is also known as the fastest growing mobile phone brand. If realme’s shipments are attributed to OPPO, perhaps OPPO’s shipments The volume will also increase.
