Record an Ubuntu system installation

Purpose: Try to build a streaming media server under Linux, so install Ubuntu

Equipment: school laboratory desktop computer, U disk, solid state hard disk ssd

process:

At the beginning, I planned to use my own laptop virtual machine to complete the server setup. After the setup was completed, I found that the virtual machine was very stuck when running the server. So I planned to build it on a laboratory computer, because the school computer’s hard disk protection system prevented partitioning (restart the computer after partitioning, the partition disappeared inexplicably, the F disk space was still compressed, and the free partition was deleted), so I planned to install another New hard disk, encountered two errors during installation:

The first error message is "Cannot install the grub-efi-amd64-signed package to /target/"

Solution: Set the EFI system partition when creating a new partition, and then solve it (the partition size is uncertain, I set 1024M)

The second error message is "An error occurred while deleting initramfs-tools installed initramfs-tools package post-installation ccript subprocess returned error exit status 1"

Solution: When setting the /boot partition, 200M was changed to 1024M during the second installation, and it was solved

After the installation is complete, restart the computer, boot into the bios, select the newly installed hard disk to boot, but only enter the original windows system, open the boot management menu and find that there is no Ubuntu system, open the computer management disk information to find the Linux system partition installed on the second hard disk Has been completed, thinking about possible bios settings, and did not skip the hard disk protection system.

2019/3/29 morning, not completed

The bios setting cannot be resolved, directly unplug the original hard disk data cable and power cable, and successfully enter the system.

in the afternoon
