The so-called "rules"

When we are making decisions, or similar scenes in TV dramas, we always hear a voice: we must stick to the rules, and the rules cannot be broken. If you strictly abide by the rules, then what is the difference between the rules and the shackles?

A society as large as a small group of a few people is actually very complicated. Everyone has different emotions, anger, sorrow and joy, different personalities and different interests. Interpersonal interactions are reasonable and more affectionate. I think this is not a piece of rule that can explain clearly, even if it is only a small part.
The rules are specified by people, and everyone has their own limitations. No set of rules is perfect.
Times are changing and people are slowly maturing. If the rules are not perfected with the changing of the times, it will restrict our progress.
I think the difference between humans and machines is the warmth of human nature. The machine is the one who knows how to abide by the rules. It sticks to a "formula" day after day and year after year, but it is finally cold and covered by the dust. And the reason why we humans are happy is because all the rules are basically in the temperature of human nature.
