But there is another download artifact that I have never introduced. I feel that if you don’t write about it, people who don’t know will miss it. It is the famous Internet Download Manager (hereinafter referred to as IDM)

As you can see, it’s easy for me to download the video on the webpage. Just click the [Download this video] floating button, and it will automatically download it for me, and the speed is extremely fast. The quality of the download is also the same as the video you are playing. The same quality.
That's right, this floating button of [Download this video] is the IDM logo, and it is just an advantage of IDM.
It can be said that IDM can download 80% of the computer resources we need, and the speed is very fast, except that it does not support magnetic link downloads, the rest is almost nothing.

01 Features of IDM
**
1 Fast speed
First explain why IDM downloads fast. Compared with traditional download tools or the original ecological download that comes with the browser, IDM is a multi-threaded download.
I have seen an appropriate analogy illustrating the advantages of multi-threaded downloading. The traditional download is to use one faucet to discharge the water in the swimming pool, and multi-threading is to use multiple faucets to discharge. In contrast, it is obvious who is fast.
2 Resource sniffing
IDM can automatically identify the video and audio of the current webpage, and then the [Download this video] or [Download this audio from the page] floating button will appear, so that it is very convenient for us to download resources. At this time, the old driver may send out Smile. However, some websites or restricted videos do not support IDM.
Using this method, we can go to some high-definition video sites to download our favorite movies or TV shows.
3 Live video download
In addition to general website video downloads, IDM also supports live video downloads. Because it directly captures the direct source data, the sound quality and picture quality are recorded without loss, which is much better than the screenshot recording.
After we customize the download location, directly add the suffix [.mp4] or [.ts] to the downloaded file to watch it.

02 IDM installation

Here I will take idm on my computer as an example to demonstrate the installation process (in fact, there are tutorials in the installation package)
1 Unzip the downloaded idm installation package;
2 Run [idm installation version.exe], the default location is C Disk, I did not change its installation location here;
3 After installation, do not run idm first, copy the idm registration machine to the installation directory; if you don’t know the installation location, just right-click the idm icon on the desktop and select [Open file location ];
4 Run [idm registration machine.exe], click the button "Crack IDM" (at the same time "IDM automatic update" select "disabled);
5 Finish.
Generally, after installing IDM, you can see the IDM icon in the browser plug-in, as shown in the figure.
If not, you can download an idm plug-in from the extension store. For example, it can be downloaded from the extension fan (https://www.extfans.com/).

03 How to use IDM

installing IDM, some settings still need attention.
1 Set the thread;
IDM provides a maximum of 32 threads for downloading, but the bigger the better, generally we set it to 24 threads. The setting method is shown in the figure below;
2 Save location of the downloaded file;
IDM default file download location is C drive, in order to avoid C drive turning red, you need to manually set the file save location yourself;
For most video and audio resources, IDM can automatically identify them and download
them through the floating button; in most cases, IDM will also be automatically called when downloading files, but if not, we can choose to use IDM to download by right-clicking, such as Figure.

04 Use IDM and scripts to break through Baidu cloud disk speed limit

Before the pd author entered, he broke through the Baidu cloud disk speed limit through [IDM+Script], and the speed could reach 10M/S, which benefited a large number of people. But with the upgrade of Baidu Cloud Disk, the speed is not so fast now, because only 2 threads can be used.
But even so, it is still faster than the original speed. This is how I tested the downloading video speed with my Baidu cloud disk trumpet this afternoon, which can reach 4M/S.

2 After installation, open the web version of Baidu SkyDrive, check the file you want to download (only a single file, not a folder), it will display [Generate Link] at the top, right-click the generated link, and you can call IDM to download.
Of course, not everyone can download successfully, you will have some problems, such as no download permissions, etc., you can try to download with a Baidu account, if it is still not resolved, just search it online, because I often also appear problem. . . .
