Telecom Tianyi campus installs wireless router
Preface
In the previous blog post " Hand-in-hand Teaching Telecom Tianyi Campus Access to Wireless Router (Windows Server Version) ", I introduced to you how to connect the router to the computer to break through the restrictions on WIFI on the Telecom Tianyi campus client .
But in the final analysis, not every student will install Windows Server on his computer, even if it is a virtual machine with Windows Server, and the virtual machine is always on, it also consumes resources. So, is there any way to install the server directly? Engage ? The answer is: yes. Coincidentally, I still do it.
Below I will introduce how to connect the router to the computer to realize the WIFI
Configuration steps
① Prepare 2 wired network cards
As in the previous article, we prepare two wired network cards, one is connected to the school's network port panel, and the other is connected to the router's WAN port.
In reality, it is wired like mine.
② Authenticate Tianyi campus client
Authenticate the Tianyi campus client to ensure that this PC can access the Internet normally.
③ Configure sharing of external network card
At this time, the internal network card will be automatically configured with an IP address, the network segment is 192.168.137.0/24, and DHCP will be activated at the same time. Devices connected to this port will automatically obtain this network segment through DHCP.
④ Configure the WAN port of the router
As in the previous blog post, configure the WAN port of the router to automatically obtain an IP address through DHCP. After the router can obtain the address normally, the rest of the terminal devices can use the WIFI released by the router to access the Internet normally without restrictions.

Finally, we tested and the result was that the PC computer used as a certification server can access the Internet normally, and all other devices connected through the router WIFI can access the Internet normally.

Obviously, this method is much easier than the Windows Server article in the previous article, with fewer steps and low technical requirements. Xiaobai started with it and finished it in 5 minutes. But there are also disadvantages. They are relatively unstable. Every time you restart the computer, you need to reconfigure the network card sharing. I don't know why. It may be a problem with my computer, or it may be related services after restarting the computer. Did not get up in time. But no matter what, the best way is to make firmware and flash it into the router. For now, no matter what method is, as long as I can surf the Internet happily, this is a good method.
