To you and me who are not content with the status quo

I have been a little bit lost recently, and also a little bit confused. Lost in the status quo, lost in the future. I also wanted to find someone to complain about, but I already knew all my cruxes in my heart, so why bother to others.

Finally, I resorted to books to find my own answer. It's been a few days since I finished "Practicing Deliberately". I want to write something, but I don't know where to start. This book is too entangled with its own status quo.

Admit your laziness

Acknowledging the views in the book means denying one’s “effort” all the time. At this time, no new goal was found and no new way was formed. This denial is another collapse of man-made settings.

A few days ago, I often posted to Moments and shared some small achievements, the purpose is nothing but to brush up on existence and to motivate myself. After reading "Deliberate Practice", stop and think: Are you really working hard? Isn't all this trying to cover up mental laziness with vanity?

I slowly realized that I was using tactical diligence to cover up strategic laziness. It's no surprise that you get mediocrity now.

"Life is like archery, and dreams are like a target. If you can't even find a target, what is the point of drawing your bow every day?"

Practice deliberately, the purpose of practice is to achieve the goal. If you just do a lot of things mechanically, without breaking through the comfort zone gradually, repeating it a thousand times is just an ordinary person.

Practice deliberately, have a clear goal, focus, get feedback constantly, and get out of your comfort zone. In contrast, it seems that almost none of them has been done.

Busy, busy, busy, repeating mediocre things over and over again, without striving for excellence, no matter how many things we do, it's commonplace.

I admit that this is my status quo. I admit that it does not mean negativeness, but that I recognize the reality and no longer paralyze myself. The real reason for the distress and confusion is that he realized the problem, but he was still confused and unable to find a way out.

If you are willing to be mediocre, everything is just right for the status quo, but you are not that kind of person in your heart.

Ten thousand hours rule

Many years ago, I heard of the "ten thousand hours law": as long as you spend 10,000 hours practicing on any one thing, you will become a master.

It is a bit too much to be misled, at least this law has inspired me to work hard. But the truth of the matter is not simply to repeat it for 10,000 hours.

"We thought we had worked for ten years, but in fact it was only one year of work experience and nine years of repeated use."

If there is no deliberate practice, the result of the ten thousand hours law is likely to be the above effect.

I once worked with an IOS development company and talked about a technical solution that programmers can understand, but he retorted: I have developed dozens of projects, can I not know? Did not do so.

I didn't say a word again, thinking: It's really pitiful.

Not only geniuses can succeed

"Deliberate Practice" talks about another important point: it is not only geniuses who can succeed. Those so-called geniuses are nothing but the cumulative result of continuous deliberate practice.

There are too many stories about the hard work of the masters. Just understand and admit this fact. It doesn't make much sense to say too much, so no longer verbose.

I admit that I am mediocre now, but I believe that the future will not be mediocre, but I have not been able to find a way to non-mediocrity. This is the source of distress.

When you are busy, you can paralyze yourself, but when you are free, you always think about how to break through the status quo and how to avoid falling.

It is painful to see the fellows surpass one by one after asking for nothing.

Know wrong

I have always felt that my methods, methods and goals may be wrong, but without good alternatives and goals, I have been accompanied by this strange feeling. Until I read the book "Practice Deliberately", it was time to admit my previous false "efforts".

I saw that I was at the bottom of my life at this time, and I also hope to see a counterattack. If you have the same distress, perhaps you should face the reality first, then seek a breakthrough, and share your encouragement with you.
