Then open the computer's control panel-management tools

 

 

Then double-click the data source ODBC

Click Add, because here is connected to SqlServer, so select the data source driver of SqlServer

 

 

Then name the data source and select the SQL Server to connect to. Here is the local database, so it is 127.0.0.1

 

 

 

 

 

Then enter the user name and password and click Next

 

 

Select the check to change the default database, and select the PD data to be generated in the drop-down box

 

 

 

 

 

 

Click next

 

 

Click Finish and then click OK

Then open PowerDesign, File-New Model

 

 

Then select Physical Diagram under Physical Data Model

 

 

Then select Connect under the database

 

 

Select the newly created data source ceshi, and enter the user name and password

 

 

Then File-Reverse Engineering-Database

 

 

Then select DBMS as SQL Server

 

 

Choose to use the data source and select the ceshi data source connected above and enter the user name and password

 

 

Then click OK

Finally generate PDM
