PeaZip is an excellent compression management tool that can run on Linux and Windows systems. Currently, PeaZip 7.2.0 has been officially released. This version improves the archive creation process to remember more options, such as file spanning, dictionary, word, passes, and block size. The specific updates are as follows:
CODE
- Various fixes and improvements
FILE MANAGER
- Extended options, you can manually update the edited files in the archive in context menu> more submenu (same as the update dialog).
- You can now update the archive and discard temporary edit files (as in the "Yes / Clear" option in the "Auto Update" dialog box), and discard edits that are not updated.
EXTRACTION and ARCHIVING
- Added option to automatically close PeaZip when the task is completed
- Added option to save and load custom compression settings
- The presets used for archive creation / conversion have been rewritten to use the new compression setting mechanism. The new presets replace the old presets and favorites format menu items
- Extended non-volatile options have been saved to configuration (and compression settings)
- Improved support for ZPAQ format
