Will Cryptocurrency XRP be added to Coinbase successfully?

XRP price has fluctuated sharply in recent months due to rumors that the largest US Bitcoin exchange coinbase will start offering XRP.

In fact, Coinbase has not done that yet, but Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple, which created XRP, publicly stated for the first time on Thursday that coinbase should add xrp.

Coinbase, headquartered in San Francisco, currently offers Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin cash and Litecoin for purchases and sales, and announced that the Ethreum Classic will soon be added. However, despite it was reported that ripple, which holds more than half of the XRP digital tokens, is trying to pay $1 million to Coinbase in order that xrp will be added to Coinbase.

Ripple sells its blockchain technology to financial institutions around the world - some of them also use cryptocurrency XRP to accelerate and reduce international payment costs - and has long believed that the ripple xrp value may attract more banks.

However, Coinbase stated that it would only trade cryptocurrencies that were deemed by regulators not to be securities. This means that coinbase is still in doubt that whether xrp belongs to securities or not. Although Garlinghouse stated at a financial technology conference attended on Thursday that Ripple and XRP are not the same, and XRP does not belong to securities.

Garlinghouse pointed out that there are three reasons why XRP does not belong to securities:

1. XRP books will continue to run if Ripple shuts down;

2. XRP is built on open source and decentralized technologies

3. The purchase of XRP does not represent the purchase of Ripple's equity at the same time.

So whether xrp can be added successfully to coinbase is still unknown. In the current form, it seems that unless xrp is proved to be not a security, coinbase will not add xrp for the time being. So do you think that Coinbase should add XRP to it? How do you think of coinbase ripple?
