Install the plugin
Find MetaHuman in the plugin, activate it, and restart the engine
Find the bridge and open it. The metahuman we need to complete needs to be downloaded in this plug-in, and unreal5 is automatically installed.
To create a metahuman,
first add a metahuman ontology. If your plug-in is installed successfully, a list of metahumans will appear.
You need to log in for the first time, just log in with your virtual account. Login to QuixelBridge
Then import your own character face model, here is the head model directly, no body model is needed, because the body model can be set directly
Add character face
The next thing to do is to select Neutral Pose, move the character's face to the center of the screen, and occupy the largest possible area of the screen.
Select boost frame
Right-click the current frame, you can directly set the automatic tracking, or you can lock the camera to prevent the camera from changing
Set the automatic tracking activity frame, and the loading tracker will be displayed in the lower right corner
After the automatic generation is completed, there will be regional divisions
After the setting is complete, you can directly click on the MetaHuman ontology to solve
After the calculation is completed, click to switch view b, and you will find that the head of metahuman is also placed in the corresponding place
Then select b on the right to activate the neutral pose (in fact, the metahuman model can be displayed in b). If the positions of the generated patches between the two models are found to overlap, it proves that there is no problem in the solution.
Then select a body on the left. There are three types of male and female bodies, and there are three types of heights: low, medium and high.
No problem, then you can click on the mesh to transfer to MetaHuman, and unreal will transfer the data to the metahuman, and the process of making the metahuman is complete here.
The submission process will vary greatly depending on the network speed, and generally the speed will be much faster at night than during the day. After you have waited for a long time, a bullet box will pop up, and you are done.
Edit the digital human on the webpage
It now tells me that I can access the digital human. Next, we need to edit our digital human on the webpage, otherwise the digital human will not even have skin.
Next, go to Creator to edit your digital human.
Open the URL https://metahuman.unrealengine.com/ If you enter for the first time, you still need to log in to your account, log in to your unreal account, and then choose the version, which version you use, choose which version
Then it will prompt the link, you just wait slowly
After entering, the left side is all the digital people you made, and the right side is your first digital human
Select the edit option, and the operation on your digital human list is on the left
After entering, you can change the name of the digital person on the top, and modify the content on the left
In fact, it is equivalent to a pinching game feeling, so I won’t say much here, let’s add a skin first
After the addition is complete, it is still normal
If you still need to fine-tune the appearance of the character, you also need to unlock the model
Mix here, you can adjust according to the preset, where is more biased
After a few minutes of adjustments, even if the production is almost done
At this point, the model making is complete, and the last step is to add the model to the project
