"Open Kylin" is China's first desktop operating system developer platform, jointly established by the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center, China Electronics, Puhua Basic Software and other units, and will create an open source desktop operating system with independent innovation technology.
Kylin Software, a subsidiary of China Electronics, said that as the leader and initiator of the "Open Kylin" community, it will make full use of decades of operating system research and development achievements, as well as more than ten years of experience in the development and construction of open source communities.
It is understood that Kylin Software creates operating system products and corresponding solutions for general and special fields, and has formed server operating systems, desktop operating systems, embedded operating systems, Kylin Cloud, secure email and other products. According to statistics from CCID Consulting, Kylin Software's operating system products have ranked first in China's Linux market share for 10 consecutive years.
Operating systems can be divided into four types according to application areas: desktop operating systems, server operating systems, mobile operating systems, and other operating systems (cloud, embedded, IoT operating systems, etc.).
In terms of desktop operating systems, Kylin Software has released versions such as Galaxy Kylin OS V10, Galaxy Kylin OS V4, and Winning Kylin OS V7.0.
