  3. The Small Caps feature has been implemented in LibreOffice Impress.
  4. "Save automatic recovery information" is enabled by default, as well as "Always create a backup copy" to improve LibreOffice's stability in the event of a crash or other issue. There are also many automatic recovery fixes.
  5. Added search functionality to LibreOffice options area.
  6. When using the dark theme from desktop settings, automatic switching to dark application colors and dark icon themes now works for Qt-based UI variants such as KDE Plasma.
  7. A password strength indicator has been added to LibreOffice's Save with Password dialog.

More details about the ongoing work on LibreOffice 24.2 can be found on the Document Foundation Wiki .

The release plan shows that the alpha version has been released on time. Feature freeze and code branching of LibreOffice 24.2 will take place in early December, followed by a beta release. At least three release candidates are expected between December and January, and then LibreOffice 24.2 should be released in early February.
