Tif images to add geographic coordinates
We often encounter some tif image format without geographic coordinates, geographical coordinates or information about errors that need to be changed. But sometimes these methods fail, that file can not be associated tfw tif files with the same name automatically, and therefore can not obtain the geographic coordinate information tfw contained.
Therefore, this paper based on ENVI software operation method, add geographic coordinate information tif file.
This method needs to know certain pixel (typically left vertex) geographic coordinates of the image, and the resolution of the image (X, resolution in the Y direction).
Specific steps are as follows:
First, the image introduced tif
Open ENVI, click on the file-Open image file, open the image.
At this point you can see the image is not Map info (geographic coordinate information).
Second, edit Map Info, import geographic coordinate information.
Right "Avaliable Bands List" in the file name, choose Edit Header ...
Hearder Info pop-up window, select Edit Attributes-Map Info ...
In the pop-up Edit Map Info window in order to fill in the following information.
Click the OK button in the end. Tif can see the original image already has a Map Info.
ArcGIS can now import correctly displayed on the map.
