Bps : how many bytes Byte per second per second
bps : bits per SECOND, how many bits per second, this is also known as port rate
PPS : Packet of Per Second (packets per second), the forwarding performance of network devices to "packet forwarding performance" to indicate that the device can handle in a unit time the number of "packets", which determines the strength of the device forwarding capacity.
mbps:Million bits per second = 1,000,000 bps
Calculation:
bps = Bps/8
pps = Bps / transmits the Ethernet frame (frame length (64 to 1518) + gap frame (12) + preamble (8))
Linear Forwarding :
Port (including switches, servers) in the case of full load, error-free frame forwarding. The minimum length Ethernet frame is 64 bytes, the maximum rate is calculated according to the port speed:
