Python 3.8.2 rc2 is now ready for testing. This is the second maintenance release of the second release candidate of Python 3.8, the second release candidate version of the main reasons is that GH-16839 has been restored.
The initial change is believed to fix some edge cases urlparse of (digital paths, // no need to identify netlocs; details can be found BPO-27657 ). Unfortunately, it undermines undefined behavior depends on the pre-existing third party.
The reduction has released a fix (and part of 3.7.6) 3.8.1. Therefore, even if the reduction itself is a bug fix, it is not compatible with 3.8.1.
Next, if (the current plan version 3.8.2 and 3.9.0 alpha 4) found no serious problems before 2020-02-24, this is between the release candidate and the final version will not have to change the code.
3.8 series of maintenance releases will be regularly updated every two months, 3.8.3 version scheduled for release in April 2020.
