Wayland 1.18 has been released , from the previous version 1.17 released nearly a year has passed, the core code is updated once a year to bring the following major improvements:
- Add to Meson building systems support (the new version still supported autotools, but will be removed in a future version)
- API is added to the proxy object tag, to allow the application Toolkit and share the same connector Wayland
- In user space tracking wayland-server timer to prevent the creation of excessive FD
- New wl_global_remove, this is a new function, reduce the conditions of competition with global variables
Wayland 1.18 Meson build new support systems, similar to Weston synthesizers and other open source projects. Further, 1.18 now also possible using the cursor code MEMFD_CREATE, so that support virtual synthesizer / output, remote cases provided with zero output refresh rate (zero output refresh), which also supports the API allows applications Kits Wayland share the same connection. The final step is to improve the document and some other minor changes.
