When you start prior to version 12.5 VMware Workstation virtual machines on enabled Credential Guard or the Windows 10 Device Guard hosts, blue diagnostic screen (BSOD) will be displayed.
You will see an error similar to the following:
VMware Workstation and Device / Credential Guard incompatible. After disabling Device / Credential Guard, you can run VMware Workstation.
Cause:
1. This problem occurs because Device Guard or Credential Guard and Workstation is not compatible.
2, Windows systems are not compatible with Hyper-V lead.
Solution:
Step a: Disable Device Guard or Credential Guard:
Disable to enable Credential Guard Group Policy settings.
On the host operating system, right-click "Start"> "Run", type gpedit.msc, and then click "OK." Local Group Policy Editor opens.
Go to Local Computer Policy> Computer Configuration> Administrative Templates> System> Device Guard (Or: Protective Equipment)> Enable virtualization-based security.
Select Disabled.
Go to "Control Panel"> "Uninstall Programs"> "Turn Windows features" to turn off Hyper-V.
Choose not to restart.
Step two: Close command Hyper-V (not achieve a decisive role in the control panel is closed Hyper-V, to completely close the Hyper-V)
Run as administrator Windows Powershell (administrator) (Windows key + X)
Run the following command and restart the computer:
bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off
