Firefox 72 released

Firefox 72 released, and includes the following updates:

  • Enhanced Tracking Protection (Tracking Protection) function, by default, shield fingerprint script for all users.
  • The default for all users replace the pop-up notification request, instead of the address bar in the form of bubbles.
  • Mac and Linux versions of Firefox support for Picture in Picture video: Select the right edge of the blue video icon to pop open a floating window to continue viewing other tabs or applications.

The following also applies to updates developers:

  • "Time" Developer Tools Network Monitor tab displays the resource queue time, start time, and download time.
  • Scratchpad has been deleted.
  • CSS shaded parts (Shadow Parts) has been enabled, CSS path of motion (Motion Path) has been delivered.
  • Notification.requestPermission () and PushManager.subscribe () can only be invoked after the user gesture.
  • Only in response to user gestures to invoke MediaDevicers.getDisplayMedia ().
  • BatteryManager interface is no longer exposed to Web content.
  • HTTP fixed public no longer supported.
  • image / webp added to the default HTTP Accept header.
  • X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff apply to top-level document (some pages can be downloaded rather than rendering).

The next stable version of Firefox 73.0 is planned for 2020 February 11 release.
