Firefox 73 officially released , and includes the following updates:
New
Firefox version includes two new features to help users more easily and quickly view and read Web content. Like all accessibility improvements, these features can improve everyone's browsing.
- Firefox has provided more than a decade page zoom feature that allows the user to set the zoom level at each site. Most sites require users to zoom in, zoom can be very annoying to have to adjust to each new site. To solve this problem, we implemented a new global default zoom level. This option is under "Language and Appearance" is about: preferences available, and can zoom in or zoom level to the default settings for all sites as required from 100%. Scaling each site can still be adjusted according to individual site needs.
- Many low vision user relies on the Windows "High Contrast mode" to make the site more readable. Conventionally, in order to improve the readability of the text, when you enable "High Contrast" mode, Firefox will disable the background image. In Firefox 73, we introduced the "backplane readability" solution, the solution between the text and the background image is placed a piece of the background color. Now, sites are in high contrast mode without disabling background image more readable.
