Apache Solr 8.4.0 released

Apache Solr 8.4.0 has been released . Apache Solr is an open source search server, using the Java language development, mainly based on HTTP and Apache Lucene implementation. Apache Solr resources stored in the Document is stored as objects, each document consists of a series of Field, Field each represents an attribute of the resource. Solr Each Document requires that uniquely identifies its own properties, the name of this property is the default id, use the id described in the Schema configuration file.

This version noteworthy update:

  • The introduction of new packaging system to simplify the deployment of plug-ins

Target package management system is to support plug-ins (real-time) hot deployment, provides packaging guidelines plug-ins, and to normalize Solr way by following the familiar concepts of other package management systems, is intended to eventually replace the <lib ../>instruction, Blob Store and will deploy plug-ins and custom components to use other methods of Solr.

Note that this feature is still in the experimental stage, please use caution. To enable this feature, you must use the system at startup parameters passed to enable it.
