RMAN general concepts

  When we use RMAN backup and recovery of Oracle data management, we will often encounter some common concepts to be explained here. The main target database, RMAN client, flashback area, media management, recovery catalog.

Target database:

  When a database backup using RMAN, RMAN target database is to use the tool to back up and restore the database that we want to back up the object.

RMAN client:

When using RMAN for data backup tool, the premise is to use a computer or server to have RMAN client.

Flashback District:
