Windows | Ubuntu 18.04 installed Visual Studio Code

 

 

Visual Studio Code is a very good open-source cross-platform code editor, used here tarball format file to install (free installation),

First, download the .tar.gz package, click to download , free to download at the official website

Unpack the files, then the file folder to move the decompression / opt directory,

Input: the sudo Music Videos-x64-Linux-VSCode / / opt  

Change directory Input: CD / opt / VSCode-x64-Linux-/ bin /  

Enter run the program:   ./code 

Create a Quick Launch icon Launcher,

Change directory cd / usr / share / applications /  

Then create .desktop file for the program, type:   sudo gedit VSCode.desktop 

In the opened file input, as shown below:

When finished, save it. Finally find the icon, right Add to Favorites from the Start menu
